El
Dorrego: Relieve de la identidadEl Dorrego, con sus 10 mil metros cuadrados, situado en el
barrio de Colegiales, tendrá un espacio preponderante
en el VII Festival de Tango y será sede de las artes
y de los productos vinculados con el tango.
Allí se desarrollarán el ciclo El cine en 2x4 (ver
nota); una muestra del maestro fileteador Martiniano Arce; una exposición
de afiches que incluye 24 gigantografías sobre el tango en el cine; la
muestra fotográfica Las milongas en Argentina; una feria de productos
de diseño e indumentaria, y venta de libros y discos, entre otros.
Located in Colegiales neighborhood, El Dorrego is a very important space during the Buenos Aires Tango Festival, being the site for the arts and other products related to tango. The series of films El Cine en 2x4 (see article), an exhibition by the master of fillet Martiniano Arce; a posters' show about tango in the movies; the photo gallery about milongas in Argentina; a market of design and clothing articles, books and records sales, among other activities, are being held there. Popular parties where different rhythms will be heard and danced will also take place at El Dorrego. And every day, a free of charge dancing lesson will be given by renowned teachers, such as Juan Carlos Copes, Miguel Ángel Zotto, María Nieves, Milena Plebs and Mora Godoy. On Saturday 5, 6pm, there will be a tango dancing rehearsal with important maestros, which will end up in the great milonga al fresco, held in downtown corner of Ave Roque Saénz Peña and Maipú, at 9pm. The grand finale of the festival will be at 8pm Sunday 6, with the performance of Leopoldo Federico's Orchestra, at El Dorrego. Free admission. Buses: 39E; 140; 151; 161; 168. |
